Dear Steve and Cookie's,

I am a student at Eugene A. Tighe School in Margate, NJ. For my language enrichment class, we wer asked to write a persuasive essay about our favorite restaurant. I chose your restaurant as "The Best Retaurant in Town". I wanted to foward my essay to you for reading pleasure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy eating at your restaurant.

The Best Restaurant in Town

"Hey Mom, what are we doing tonight for dinner?"
"I think we are going to Steve & Cookie's tonight"
"Did Dad say it is all right?"
"You know he really likes to go there. It's his favorite."
"Yes, we can go thank you, thank you, yes!" I shouted with excitement for my incredible dinner to come.

I really like Steve & Cookie's because of how great the food is. You really can not forget about all of the impressive atmosphere. My aunt and uncle sometimes meet us there, or we might even go with friends. My parents had their Christmas party at Steve & Cookie's this year. Maybe next year I will have my Birthday there with my family.

My favorite part of dining at Steve & Cookie's is the insane meals. These meals could not be any better. Once you walk into the bar area(where we sit) there are oyster crackers with horseradish so you can snack on something before you eat. I practically order the same thing every time. I first start with the Manhattan clam chowder. They bring you a nice hot bowl with the soup in a very hot pourer. It is the perfect amount for a starter. It is so creamy and delicious; you have to eat it so slowly so you can taste every part of every thing in it. Just before your meal comes out, they bring you bread. The bread and butter are just so fresh. My mom normally gets a big salad. The salad always smells and looks so fresh. My dad normally orders oysters or clams. They are always raw. I don't know how he eats them. For my entrée, I normally order the best, which my parents and I think is the 8oz. steak. The steak comes with string beans and the best mashed potatoes. My dad gets some sort of fish. My mom normally orders something different every time. I really enjoy my steak. It is the best, even better than a steakhouse. we can not forget the incredible deserts. My favorite are the peanut-butter pie and the brownie pie, they are delicious.

Another thing I like about Steve & Cookie's is the local crowd that gathers there. Once we pull into the restaurant in the summer, we always see a familiar car in the lot. We walk in with surprise; there are some friends or beach buddies. There might even be some of our family there, too. We mostly go on Friday and Saturday nights. My uncle and aunt sometimes meet us there and we sit together. About seven o'clock, a guitar player comes, and he is awesome. Last summer, there were some really cool valet guys there. I was helping them out a bit. I enjoy going there so much. My parents normally see someone they know and sit with them for a while. It is really hard to get a seat in the summer, but we just go early. As I stated earlier, this year my parents had their Christmas party at Steve & Cookie's. I am mad because I couldn't go. I swear it is the best restaurant in Margate.

Now hear me, this is the best restaurant in town. I still believe nothing could ever replace Steve & Cookie's. I don't want anything in the restaurant to change, especially the awesome surroundings. I am really waiting to receive one of those awesome John Baker paintings up on the wall. I asked for one for Hanukkah, but I didn't get one. My favorite is the one in the bathroom at the Oyster Bar, but I love everyone of them. I really love them just as much as the restaurant and the food. I really think Steve & Cookie's is the best in town.
